Bill Cooke is Senior Lecturer at the School of Visual Arts, University of Auckland at Manukau (New Zealand). He is author of four books, the latest being a Dictionary of Atheism, Skepticism and Humanism. He is Fellow of the Committee for the Scientific Examination of Religion and a senior editor of Free Inquiry magazine, published by the Center for Inquiry, based in Amherst, New York. He is editor of the Open Society, a humanist journal of the New Zealand Association of Rationalists & Humanists. And he writes a regular column for Art all, the magazine of Artists Alliance, New Zealand's main association for artists. He has written an entry on critical realism for the Encyclopedia of Anthropology (Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage, 2006). His email is bill.cooke@manukau.ac.nz.
